A new three-storey bar called Clays is set to open on Birmingham’s bustling New Street on December 2. The venue, which will feature a virtual clay target shooting experience, is now accepting bookings for its opening week. Inspired by the British countryside, Clays will offer a unique atmosphere with trees, greenery, and other elements that evoke the green spaces surrounding the city.
Located in the spot formerly occupied by Cotswold Outdoor in Piccadilly Arcade, Clays Birmingham will introduce a Clays Arcade experience with fast-paced gameplay designed for two players. The venue will house two large bars and accommodate up to 500 guests, providing ample space for entertainment, dancing, and of course, virtual shooting games.
In addition to the gaming experience, Clays will offer a menu of food and drinks to satisfy its patrons. Guests can indulge in sharing platters, signature pizzettes, small plates, and snacks such as the Cobble Lane charcuterie, English trout ceviche, and pork and venison Scotch eggs. Vegetarians can enjoy a special sharing platter featuring items like ‘KFC’ Korean fried cauliflower, seasonal vegetable pastry rolls, and more.
To complement the culinary offerings, Clays will serve up cocktails inspired by the countryside, including the Jack’s Orchard clarified cocktail made with Jack Daniel’s apple whiskey, fresh apple juice, and toffee essence.
