A former headteacher, Timothy Moule, has been sentenced to 16 months in jail for possessing over a thousand indecent images of children. Moule, 53, from Telford, initially denied having any additional devices besides the two known to the police. However, after officers threatened to search his property, he admitted to having two tablets containing illegal images. These tablets held 141 category A images, 149 category B images, 789 category C images, and 21 prohibited pictures.

In addition to the recent sentence, Moule was also ordered to serve 33 months in jail for voyeurism and 19 months for taking indecent photographs of a child back in 2018. Detective Constable Rob Manders from West Mercia Police emphasized the danger Moule poses to society due to his obsession with young children. Manders expressed satisfaction with the judge’s decision, as it ensures that Moule cannot continue to harm vulnerable young people by sharing or creating these disturbing images.

If you have been affected by child sexual abuse, you are encouraged to contact the police on 101 to speak with an officer in confidence. Recognizing that not everyone may feel comfortable speaking directly to the police, there are support services available to assist victims of abuse. The NSPCC helpline can be reached at 0808 800 5000, and Childline is available for children at 0800 1111. The Stop It Now helpline, part of the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, also offers confidential support for those in need.

It is crucial for society to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior or concerns regarding child abuse. By working together and supporting one another, we can help protect vulnerable children and ensure a safer environment for everyone.
