The Birmingham Phoenix Women’s team faced a tough match against the Rockets Women and unfortunately lost by three wickets. Despite a low defending score of 113, Sterre Kalis and Richa Ghosh showed great composure and partnership to give the Phoenix something to bowl at. However, the Rockets managed to chase down the target with some tense moments towards the end of the match.

On the other hand, the Phoenix Men’s team had a successful match against the Trent Rockets, securing a six-wicket victory. Thanks to a stellar bowling performance, led by Tim Southee’s 5/12, the Phoenix restricted the Rockets to 118 runs. Tom Alsop played a crucial innings of 51 runs, supported by Imad Wasim, to set up the chase for the Phoenix. Ben Duckett and Moeen Ali continued their impressive form by guiding the team to victory with a partnership of 114 runs.
